DEEP PURPLE Receive Musical Space Shuttle Remnants

At their show in Mexico City on September 23, DEEP PURPLE were presented with remnants of CDs they gave to astronaut Kalpana Chawla for her mission on the Columbia space shuttle, which crashed on its return to earth. The three discs were presented by Chawla's husband Jean-Pierre Harrison and came with certificates of authenticity signed by NASA officials. See the photo here.
